DAIMLER Fleet Management has been awarded supplier status to NHS Scotland.

THE NHS Scotland contract was won through a national tender process for car leasing.

It means Daimler Fleet Management is one of the three customer framework suppliers to NHS Scotland.

Having commenced in January, Daimler Fleet Management has already provided a variety of company cars as well as some pool cars for NHS Scotland staff.

DFM Fleet Sales Manager Scott Chambers commented:

“We’re delighted to be working with NHS Scotland. Not only will we be supplying the organisation’s vehicles, but we’ll also be actively managing its fleet to help keep the wheels of the health service turning across Scotland.”

He added: “Daimler Fleet Management’s flexible plans start with the customer’s needs and objectives – we appreciate that every business is unique, with its own specific requirements and goals, and take time to understand the challenges that fleet operators face.

“Our experts will always work hard to put together the perfect combination of vehicle types, finance and leasing options, service and maintenance requirements, reporting and analysis, and support for both fleet managers and drivers. We can tailor a solution for fleets of any size, comprising cars and commercial vehicles of any brand and model, up to 3.5 tonnes gross weight.”

NHS Scotland is responsible for the delivery of frontline healthcare services, and for the protection and improvement of the population’s health, through 14 regional health boards.

It also oversees seven special health boards and one public health body, which support the regional boards by providing a range of specialist and national services. Accountable to Scottish Ministers, and supported by the Scottish Government’s Health and Social Care Directives, NHS Scotland employs 160,000 staff.
