Penned by Jaguar’s chief designer, Ian Callum, the XE has a much sleeker, sportier and appealing image than its spiritual successor.
The completely new exterior is also complemented by a radical new cabin design, too.
High gloss plastics, plush leather and aluminium have all been used to piece together the bespoke new interior.
It’s as spacious as any of its rivals inside and the 485 litre boot is also fractionally larger.
Best of all, the XE will also be built right here in Britain, following a £2 billion investment into two JLR plants in the West Midlands.
