Applied Driving Techniques (ADT), a provider of fleet compliance and risk management solutions,  is now offering a new scheme for lone workers

DOES your business involve lone workers whose safety might be at risk while on your time?

If you do, but have struggled to implement a satisfactory fleet management solution for lone workers in company cars, then Applied Driving Techniques (ADT) has what you might need.

ADT, a provider of fleet compliance and risk management solutions,  has launched a lone worker safety programme.

The programme can help SME small fleet business car managers assess, mitigate and manage the threats and hazards facing remote and vulnerable employees.

ADT says it includes auditing and analysis to ensure your business – and its directors – are compliant with duty of care obligations.

The audit reviews lone worker safety and includes:

  • lone worker identification,
  • employee assessments,
  • safety management systems
  • emergency response planning

The ADT lone worker programme then recommends improvements to ensure compliance.

Also included are lone worker safety workshops for employees and management seminars for directors providing an overview of the legal requirements involved in managing lone worker safety.

“Employers have a responsibility to carefully and regularly assess the risks faced by any lone workers and then take steps to avoid, control and minimise them where necessary,” commented Dr Jim Golby, director of Applied Driving Techniques.

“Failure to comply could not only result in substantial fines for a company but also serious penalties for directors and managers, if they are found to have been negligent. In the case of a fatality, charges of corporate manslaughter may be instigated,” added Dr Golby.
