COMPANY cars come in all shapes and sizes. Some are more practical. Some are more comfortable. Some are blisteringly fast. But only one is the new Audi RS 4 Avant.
It’s a big estate car so it ticks the practicality box. It’s also an Audi, and Audi never skimp in interior comfort. The really big tick in the absolutely enormous box is tucked away under the bonnet of the new range-topping RS 4 Avant.
It’s a 2.9-litre V6 biturbo shaped tick that fits in a 440bhp shaped box.
The new Audi RS 4 Avant is an absolute beast of a car that can hit 60mph in four seconds and can keep going to 174mph. That’s assuming you bought the RS Dynamic Package that ups to the top speed from the standard 155mph.
Also assuming you have the nerve to keep your right foot buried in the shag pile when every fibre of your being is telling you to behave. We know nobody is actually going to do 174mph, but there is still something enticing about knowing your car is capable of those speeds, even if you are not.
It’s probably more useful to talk about the other side of the new Audi RS 4 Avant, the side most people will experience. Namely immense comfort and practicality.
As a general rule Audi interiors are exceptional. They are understated, well laid out, and brilliantly equipped. The new RS 4 Avant is no exception.
RS sport seats with optional honeycomb pattern, RS leather multifunction sport steering wheel, illuminated door sill trims adorned with the RS emblem. All standard for the RS 4. You also get the fantastic Audi virtual cockpit as standard in the UK. The styling packages provide further scope for customisation, and the Audi exclusive programme caters for just about any other special request.
The only request we have is that someone leaves £60k under the pillow so we can get on the list when orders open later this month.
