PSA Group’s Free2Move Lease captive will make its first move into multimarque offerings from April this year.
The merged leasing group – Peugeot Contract Hire and Citroen Contract Motoring – was formed late last year to offer advanced mobility solutions.
This latest step takes Free2Move Lease into the same area occupied by BMW’s Alphabet: a multimarque mobility specialist.
Managing director Duncan Chumley confirmed details of the move to Car & Van Funding at the recent Business Van of the Year Awards, where Chumley was collecting the first award for the leasing firm for Best finance & service package.
“Free2Move Lease is all about providing mobility solutions – so if customers want to lease a different make from Citroen, DS or Peugeot then they will be able to in the future,” commented Chumley.
The combined Citroen and Peugeot fleet gives the new Free2Move Lease a combined fleet size of 64,000 vehicles, placing it in seventh in the FN50, behind ALD Automotive, which recently announced it was to float to create more opportunities to develop new mobility plans.
Free2Move Lease has not confirmed how these new multimarque leases will be sold, whether through new direct sales channels or through broker support.
