HITACHI Capital Vehicle Solutions’ strategic account manager Debby Moore has won a BVRLA Industry Hero award for her drive in retaining key client G4S.

She collected her award at the VIP black-tie awards dinner at London Hilton in Park Lane.

The BVRLA’s annual Industry Heroes Awards are bestowed on employees who display the highest levels of dedication and professionalism to their job.

Moore was one of just three selected for the prestigious award ahead of an impressive number of nominations from across the UK.

Long a valued member of Hitachi Capital, her value shone through when she supported Hitachi Capital in retaining a key contract with long-standing client G4S.

With a fleet of over 4,000 vehicles covering complex assets like ambulances all the way down to a fleet of operational Citroen C1s, G4S is one of Hitachi Capital’s largest clients.

Throughout the process, Moore maintained an unparalleled level of customer service, delivering day-to-day operations without disruption during the entire tender and bid process against tough market competition.

G4S ultimately renewed its contract with Hitachi Capital, citing Moore as “a huge factor in that decision”.

Debby said of the award: “Knowing my work has been recognised by such a respected industry body is incredible.

“I’ve been with Hitachi Capital for over 15 years now and still find every day a fresh challenge but for now I’m looking forward to placing this award proudly on my desk!”

Mike Belcher, head of corporate sales at Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, added: “Everyone in the business is thrilled to hear of Debby’s achievement. Her attitude and work discipline is second to none and are respected internally with staff and externally with customers every day.

“It’s fantastic for Debby and her colleagues to have their hard work recognised publicly.”

BVRLA chief executive Gerry Keaney said: “We have come to expect a large number of high calibre nominations for the Industry Hero Awards and this year was no different.

“Debby is a great example of how one person really can make a difference, and she’s clearly committed to delivering excellent customer service. Our judges were impressed.”
