THE range of SUVs on the market is growing at such a rate you would be forgiven for thinking they were an incredibly popular choice as a company car. They are, and the new special edition Honda CR-V S Plus is definitely worth a look.
The new addition to the CR-V line up is expected to be arriving in dealer showrooms in the next few weeks and is designed to offer additional features and styling touches for less. We thought this may be a typo at first but no, Honda has added bits to the CR-V without asking for extra money.
On top of the standard features, the S Plus has a dynamic and stylish appearance with new exterior features. Body coloured front and rear aero bumpers, tailgate spoiler, and stylish running boards have been added to give the S Plus an upgraded look.
This special edition CR-V is based on the S Navi grade so it’s building on a well equipped foundation. The S Plus model standard specification includes climate control , cruise control, Bluetooth, reversing camera, city brake active system and HONDA Connect in-car audio and information system with Garmin navigation.
The Honda CR-V S Plus can be specified with either a 2.0-litre petrol or 1.6-litre diesel engine. If there is a downside it’s that it will only be available with two wheel drive and manual transmission, but that’s not the end of the world.
Available in White Orchid Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Polished Metal Metallic and Passion Red Pearl, the S Plus petrol model will be priced at £23,500, the diesel version at £24,500. Nothing that is going to affect anyone’s BIK tax rate too severely.

You don’t often get anything for free in this life so we expect Honda will have their hands bitten off rather quickly once the CR-V S Plus arrives.
