CD Auction Group are no strangers when it comes to moving vehicles on; in fact, fleets across the country with between 100 and 500 cars and commercials are trusting them to dispose of their company vehicles when it is time for them to go.

CD Auction Group specialise in remarketing vehicles to a wide range of buyers, via their unique online auction site. This ensures that the vehicles are seen by a high number of registered bidders which in turn means that the client has the best chance of maximising their asset value.

For SMEs that decide to instruct CD Auction Group to remarket their vehicles, everything is taken care of, from the logistics of vehicle collection to a thorough vehicle inspection and preparation where necessary.

Business owners or fleet managers are left free of the shackles of dealing with individual traders, or attempting to sell their vehicles online. Both methods are time consuming and leaving vehicles at company (or in some cases, even home) premises while the sale process is taking place can cause major storage problems.

Co-ordinating new vehicle deliveries with the sale of old ones can also be a nightmare, as space is often an issue, and where vehicles are sold before new ones appear, employees can be left without a vehicle.

Andy Brown, managing director at CD Auctions, said;

“We deal with everything when it comes to remarketing our clients’ company vehicles; we take them away on the same day wherever possible back to our site, where they are inspected and photographed.

“If we consider that any work needs to be carried out to achieve maximum price at auction, we will work with the customer to decide what needs to be done, and carry out the work for them at a competitive price.

“We can also arrange for vehicles to be collected in one go and in advance, which is great for any company that may be switching from owning to leasing, for example. It means that there will be no down-time for fleet cars and vans and also no storage issues to worry about.”

Cash flow is also an important consideration for any SME – typically, the process takes between 7 – 10 days and a higher price is usually achieved than when clients choose to sell to one or maybe two trade buyers.

Andy continued;

“We have had cases where business owners themselves have dealt with the disposal of company vehicles – one company even sold them from the office car park to traders. Not only was this inconvenient, it was giving the customer the option of one offer on the table.

“Dealing with CD Auction Group means that vehicles are seen by many potential, serious buyers, so therefore the chance of achieving a higher amount is much better than selling to one trader alone.

“One client has reported that they are achieving around £750 more per vehicle by dealing with us – that is a really huge saving when you consider that our core business is fleets of 100 or more.”
