THE new Infiniti Q60 sports coupe prices will start at just under £34,000 when sales of the premium mover start in Europe in October this year.
The entry-level version, the £33,990 Q60, will have a four-cylinder 2.0-litre petrol engine turbocharged to produce 208hp.
The Q60 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo version of the premium sports coupe, which produces 400hp, will arrive at a later stage in all showrooms across Europe.
The Q60 has been engineered to deliver a truly engaging sports coupe experience, with a unique balance of compliant ride and agile handling. Playing a key role in achieving this balance is Infiniti’s new Dynamic Digital Suspension, engineered to offer excellent handling responses and agility, and enhanced ride comfort – aided by new dampers.
Launched at Geneva
Infiniti’s second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering offers high levels of steering feel and feedback in the Q60, and the Drive Mode Selector gives drivers the option to personalize and tailor the steering to suit their own preferences.
The Q60 features a striking interpretation of Infiniti’s ‘Powerful Elegance’ design language muscular lines and distinctive proportions. At the heart of the car is an all-new lightweight and sophisticated ‘VR30’ 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engine.
The Q60 Red Sport shown in Geneva features the high-powered 400 hp V6 engine, which provides the car with one of the best power-to-efficiency ratings in the sports coupe class.
It will be interesting to see how the pricing compares with the UK’s top-selling high performance (250PS+) sports coupe, the Ford Mustang – the 416PS 5-litre V8 version sells for just shy of £35,000.
