The 2014 Jaguar XF
The 2014 Jaguar XF diesel – now down to 129g/km

JAGUAR has managed to squeeze the official CO2 emissions figure for its entry-level 163 PS 2.2-litre Jaguar XF diesel down from the previous fiscally inconvenient 135g/km to a more company car tax and business friendly 129g/km.

Fuel consumption improves to a combined 57.7 mpg

As well as the XF’s existing advanced stop/start system, there are new, bigger exhaust gas recirculation valves and a revised cooling assembly.

The improvement is being presented as part of the 2014 model year changes for the XF, which also include an improved sat nav system.

The XF’s 129g/km still lags behind the best company car tax and emissions figures from rival Mercedes and BMW products – the out-going BMW 520d EfficientDynamics, for example achieves 119g/km – but unlike the German manufacturers, which still offer manual gearboxes on their big saloons and estates, Jaguars all have automatic transmissions.
