The new Jaguar XF made its official debut on the used market.

A special sale at BCA’s Nottingham auction hall during September highlighted the underlying strength of the Jaguar XF’s used values.

A total of seven 07 plate and 57 plate 2007 Jaguar XF models were put through the BCA auction hall and sold.

The average Jaguar XF selling price was £30,786. A Premium Luxury Jaguar XF in Azure achieved a top price of £32,500.

Overall, Jaguar XF Premium models averaged 85.1% of current list price; Jaguar XF Premium Luxury examples averaged 84.1%.

Annette Clay, BCA account manager for Jaguar, commented: “The new Jaguar XF model made an assured entry into the used marketplace, creating another significant auction benchmark for Jaguar. This strong result highlights Jaguar’s continuing desirability in the marketplace.”

Key to table

0707 or 0808 This refers to the year and number plate (ie 2007 with an 07 number plate)

2K or 10K This refers to the number of miles recorded on the odometer

129.5% CAP CAP is the trade guide used to assess used values at auction. The percentage signifies how much more or less the vehicle was sold for than its forecasted value. In this case the examples all sold well above their anticipated value, a good indicator of Jaguar residual values (see Jargon Buster)
