The latest Soul might look similar to the last, but is based on the bigger Cee’d floorpan

Company car review of the Kia Soul 1.6 CRDi Mixx

What is it?

The second-generation version of Kia’s funky, chunky crossover aimed at rivals such as the Nissan Juke, Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008.

It may look similar to the first-generation Soul that was launched back in 2008, but be in no doubt as this car is all-new and based on the larger Cee’d floorpan.

Our test car is powered by the 126bhp, 1.6-litre CRDi diesel, but there’s also a 1.6-litre GDi petrol, with 130bhp.
