Options include a £1530 AMG Aerodynamics package, which includes a larger front splitter and an AMG rear aerofoil for extra down force, and a £510 AMG Performance Exhaust with four chrome tailpipes that’s designed to provide “a more purposeful engine note”.

Company car tax is going to be 27% of a hefty BIK, but no worse than the alternatives, and better than some.

The first A45 AMGs will arrive in the UK in August.
