Mercedes has released prices and specification details for the new C-Class estate, due in UK showrooms from September.
The estate range, which closely follows the recently-launched saloon line-up, encompasses five engine options and three model lines, which starts at £28,055 – £1,200 more than the saloon.
The range starts with the 184 PS petrol-powered C 200, which has CO2 emissions of 128 g/km for an 18% company car tax band. The C 200 is available with a choice of six-speed manual and seven-speed automatic gearboxes.
There are two 2.2-litre diesels, the 220 BlueTEC (170 PS) and the 250 BlueTEC (204 PS); CO2 emissions are 108 g/km and 117 g/km respectively, giving rise to a benefit in kind company car tax band of 17% and 19% respectively.
The 220 BlueTEC starts at £30,565, while the 250 BlueTEC is available from £33,220. The 220 is available with a choice of manual and automatic gearboxes, while the 250 is automatic only.
The diesel engine range will be extended in both directions later in the year, with a C 200 BlueTEC diesel and the powerful C 300 BlueTEC HYBRID.
