Michael Stewart: heading up Nissan’s corporate sales planning

NISSAN has poached Mazda’s regional business manager, Michael Stewart, to strengthen its corporate sales team.

In the role of corporate sales planning manager, Michael Stewart will head up corporate sales planning and marketing function and is responsible for events, corporate hospitality, CRM and marketing communications for corporate sales.

Also part of Michael’s duties will be managing the corporate customer test drive programme and assisting Nissan dealers with corporate sales.

Commenting on Michael Stewart’s appointment, Barry Beeston, Nissan’s corporate sales director, said:

“Michael has a wealth of industry experience and we are delighted to welcome him to the Nissan team.  Michael’s appointment will ensure our continued focus on delivering a quality corporate sales function.”

Michael began his career at Vauxhall where he spent four years in a variety of roles, before spending 10 years at Mazda where he was a regional business manager with responsibility for 64 dealers in southern England.

“I have joined at an exciting time for the Nissan brand as it is progressing in a number of different ways,” added Michael. “Both the award winning new Qashqai and the all-electric LEAF are experiencing strong sales, while the e-NV200 is set to launch in June.  I am delighted to be a part of the brand journey.”
