All-new Audi A3 Cabriolet has grown in length from 4.24 to 4.42 metres putting it much closer in size to the old A4 cabriolet

YOU probably want one of these right now.

In the dying embers of this Indian Summer, a new Audi A3 Cabriolet would be right on the money.

But you’ll have to wait.

Audi will also launch an S3 Cabriolet for the first time

Until March 2014 when spring is around the corner and the new four-seater Audi A3 Cabriolet launches into the UK market.

Based on the Audi A3 saloon, it means this latest open-top A3 has a much cleaner profile with a flat rear deck enhanced by the aluminium-framed windscreen and aluminium trim that runs around the top of the body.

The new Audi A3 Cabriolet retains its soft fabric roof and can be opened and closed automatically in fewer than 18 seconds.

The hood can also open and close at speeds of up to 31mph. The acoustically sound proofed fabric roof features a glass rear window. It’s available in black, grey and brown while the roof liner can be specified in black or lunar silver.

As it’s based on the new Audi A3, the car is lighter than its predecessor which will help CO2 emissions, particularly if you fancy one as a company car. Audi says emissions are improved by 12 per cent.
