New Ford Kuga revealed

Ford is launching a new compact 4×4 crossover, called Kuga.

The new Kuga will be shown at this month’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

It will then go on sale early in 2008.

The Kuga ‘crossover’ – a blend of 4×4 and estate car – features comfortable on-road driving dynamics. And off-road capability if fitted with four-wheel drive.

There will be two versions: one featuring ‘intelligent’ four-wheel drive (providing additional traction when required); and a front-wheel drive only version.

The interior promises to be spacious. The tailgate splits for easier loading and enhanced practicality.

  • Preview at Frankfurt Motor Show, September 2007
  • On sale first half of 2008
  • Enters new crossover sector for Ford
  • Power from 2.0-litre 136PS TDCi diesel
