Roads Minister Stephen Hammond MP has merged VOSA and the Driving Standards Agency to form the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA)
Roads Minister Stephen Hammond MP has merged VOSA and the Driving Standards Agency to form the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA)

FROM today, it won’t be VOSA officials regulating MOT tests for you car .

Or checking the weight of your van at the roadside.

Instead it will be the DVSA.

Why so?

There’s been a merger, initiated by Roads Minister Stephen Hammond MP, to create the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) which aims to bring together a range or motoring services.

These include operator licensing, driving tests, goods and passenger vehicle testing and MOT supervision.

The new DVSA is a merger between the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency and the Driving Standards Agency. Its aim is to improve the services to motorists and to reduce costs.
