BLINK and you’ll miss the biggest MINI’s facelift. However the benefits of the re-worked MINI Countryman are more than skin deep for company car drivers.
What this means for you is reduced company car tax rates: the most efficient Cooper D models will drop down to 18%
All engines are now EU6 emissions compliant, with improved fuel consumption and reduced emissions across the range.
Outside, you’ll spot the freshened MINI Countryman by its new hexagonal grille, with different detailing depending on the model.
Other changes include metal scuff plates for the bumpers on ALL4 four-wheel drive versions, revised alloy wheel designs, daytime running lights for some and a range of new colours, including camo-like metallic Jungle Green.
Inside, like the outside, changes for the new Countryman are hard to see. The anthracite dials are the only obvious difference, with work on the sound deadening improving refinement.
On top of the expected MINImalism technology, which includes stop/start, this new Countryman boasts other fuel saving measures. These include a slipperier underbody, lower friction wheel bearings and reduced rolling resistance tyres, that equal more miles per gallon and lower CO2 figures.
