Economy is better too – officially the MINI Cooper D will return 67.3mpg on a combined cycle

For example, most-efficient Cooper D versions now boast 111g/km emissions, a reduction of 4g/km over the current car. Plus, they return an impressive 67.3mpg up from the current cars 64.2mpg figure.

Cooper S more to your fancy? Well, despite a power hike to 190bhp, emissions also drop to 139g/km and yet it’s still capable of 47mpg.

Prices start from £16,990 for the One and face-lifted Countrymans will be available to order from late spring this year.
