OH yes, yes, yes… Who wouldn’t want this example of Detroit’s finest? This object of drooling in the Business Car Manager office is the new Ford GT.

It’s the replacement for Ford’s previous limited edition super car also called GT and a homage to the Le Mans-winning GT40.

Under the new GT’s fabulous carbon-fibre structure, the former model’s supercharged 5.4-litre V8 has been replaced with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 engine.

It might have lost a couple of cylinders and some cubic capacity but don’t be too disappointed: Ford’s new supercar still boasts a massive 600bhp!

Along with the V8 engine, the old Ford GT six-speed manual transmission has made an exit to be replaced in this car with a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual.

Along with the carbon-fibre construction, the new Ford GT supercar features an active rear spoiler, twin exhausts that stick out like cannons in the centre of the rear bodywork and if that’s not exotic enough, there’s the Lamborghini-like scissor doors.

It is not just the exterior styling of the GT that impresses, inside there’s a high-tech dashboard with a user-configurable digital instrument panel, plus the latest version of Ford’s SYNC touchscreen-based infotainment system.

So Ford might have been out of the supercar game for a while, but we reckon the GT could have the measure of the Italian establishment when it arrives later this year. Entrepreneurs and successful business owners need to get down to the nearest Ford Store and reserve your example.
