New V10 Audi R8 hits the road

The Audi R8 sports car range is expanding.

In addition to the Audi R8 V8, a new 5.2-litre V10 version is being added to the range.

The new Audi R8 V10 will cost L99,575 or L104,665 with R tronic sequential shift transmission.

The new Audi R8 features a 5.2-litre V10 engine producing 525PS. Maximum torque, the low-down pulling power, is a thumping 530Nm.

The V10 engine will propel the Audi R8 to 62mph in just 3.9 seconds. It has a top speed of 196mph. Average fuel consumption is a surprising 20.6mpg thanks to the car

The Audi R8 sports car range is expanding.

In addition to the Audi R8 V8, a new 5.2-litre V10 version is being added to the range.

The new Audi R8 V10 will cost £99,575 or £104,665 with R tronic sequential shift transmission.

The new Audi R8 features a 5.2-litre V10 engine producing 525PS. Maximum torque, the low-down pulling power, is a thumping 530Nm.

The V10 engine will propel the Audi R8 to 62mph in just 3.9 seconds. It has a top speed of 196mph. Average fuel consumption is a surprising 20.6mpg thanks to the car’s lightweight body. The R8 is made from lightweight aluminium panelling constructed on an aluminium Audi Space Frame (ASF).

Creature comforts include Audi’s advanced magnetic ride, operated by applying voltage through an electromagnetic field, it provides more precise suspension damping.

As well as this, there’s a 465-watt Bang & Olufsen audio system and world-first all-LED headlights.

Perfect for successful entrepreneurs, the Audi R8 V10 is available to order from January. First deliveries are scheduled for spring 2009.
