AN ALL-NEW Vauxhall Astra was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.

Prices for the 1.4 Exclusiv model start at £15,675 – a modest increase over the outgoing model, but there’s added specification to compensate, including anti-skid stability control. The 1.4 Exclusiv has CO2 emissions of 129g/km which means a company car tax band of 15%.

The equivalent Exclusiv 1.7 CDTi 110PS diesel has CO2 emissions of 124g/km – a company car tax band of 18% – and costs £18,015.

The current three-door Sport Hatch Astra continues in production.

Prices start at under £16,000
