Hyundai IONIQ
Bathed in white light, presented in white, were Hyundai’s trio of low emission cars – the IONIQ. Or rather one car, with three different low to zero emission drivetrains. You can have your IONIQ as a petrol-electric hybrid (79g/km CO2), as a plug-in electric hybrid (CO2 of 32g/km and an electric only range of 31 miles) or as a pure electric zero emission car with a range of 155 miles. Whichever you choose, it’s a smart way to reduce your company car tax exposure.
Infiniti QX30
This is the Sunderland-built Q30 hatch that’s been on the protein shakes for QX30. But while this beefed-up crossover, with raised by 30mm suspension, looks tough on the outside, the interior cossets with leather seats and leather dashboard finish – so take your muddy boots off before getting inside. The 2.2d engine will be key for this car. Expect the QX30 to be on sale mid 2016.
Maserati Levante
Italian sports car maker Maserati gets in on the SUV act with this Porsche Cayenne chasing Levante model. The four-wheel drive Mazzer will be powered by a 275hp 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine with an eight-speed autobox. There’s air suspension too allowing up to five variable ride heights, along with a parking height function. On sale from the summer from around £54k.
