PENDRAGON Vehicle Management has signed a four-year supply contract with leading construction company BJF Connections for its growing fleet of cars and vans.

BJF Connections turned to Pendragon to outsource their fleet to following previous positive experience of their customer service, combined with cost-saving expertise.

Pendragon clinches the deal because BJF Connections required an efficient and reliable fleet of commercial vehicles to support its mechanical, electrical, design and building services throughout the country, serving many high profile clients. Mostly used by engineers, the vehicles will also be used by a number of project managers, senior operations managers, quantity surveyors and the senior management team.

Planning to triple in size over the next few years, BJF Connections’ fleet will in turn grow so reducing CO2 emissions will be a main focus over the term of the contract, with a high proportion of low emission diesel and hybrid models being introduced into the fleet.

Don Urquhart, head of SHEQ at BJF Connections, said: “A reliable and efficient fleet is vital to our business, and it is important for us to reduce costs in this area.

“Pendragon offered a great service, understanding our needs and delivering flexible solutions, whilst providing access to a wide range of vehicles. In particular, their online fleet management system works really well for us, providing a one-stop administration point which helps us to better manage the time and man power spent on this area.

“We look forward to working together as we introduce more environmentally friendly vehicles to the fleet.”

Neal Francis, Pendragon’s divisional managing director, said they had welcomed listening to BJF’s  bespoke requirements and delivering against them.

“We were able to establish a precise number of key requirements and therefore recommend a suite of solutions to help drive down costs, supported by our online fleet management system. We’re delighted to have another satisfied customer.”
