PETER Bell has been appointed Managing Director of Manheim, the remarketing division of Cox Automotive.

Bell joins Manheim from Jaguar Land Rover where he was Global Financial Services Director.

Prior to this, Peter was Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS).

Michael Buxton, CEO, Cox Automotive, said:

“Peter is an accomplished business leader, with extensive operational, commercial and customer delivery experience in the financial services and automotive sectors.

“He is a very strong addition to the Cox Automotive leadership team and I am confident that he is the right person to lead Manheim through its next phase of growth and development.”

Peter Bell commented on his appointment as MD of Manheim:

“It is a great time to be joining Manheim, as it continues to lead the way in physical auctions and through its impressive digital and upstream remarketing businesses, including Vehicle Solutions and Manheim Online.

“My focus will be on helping our customers to grow their businesses using Manheim’s comprehensive offering.”
