Running a vehicle for business?

Don't leave yourself out of pocket - a guide to what you can claim.

The I-Pace all electric SUV, which Sir Andy Murray has just taken delivery on World Environment Day (June 05), features a 90kWh Lithium-ion battery and up to 298 miles of range on a single charge.

It also features faster charging capabilities and the ability to go from 0 to 60mph in just 4.5 seconds.

The Range Rover PHEV and Range Rover Sport PHEV have an EV range of 31 miles, which means drivers need only fill the tank for long journeys.

All three vehicles feature low or zero emissions for reduced benefit in kind company car taxation, making them ideal for business motoring.

Drivers can charge up their EV or PHEV overnight with the use of a Pod Point homecharger.

As well as providing home and workplace charging, Pod Point, which was founded in 2009 by CEO Erik Fairbairn, runs one of the UK’s largest free public charging networks at destinations such as retail parks, supermarkets, service stations and strategic motorway locations.

EV drivers can charge for free at 90% of Pod Point’s 2,500 public chargepoints. Pod Point says this is crucial for encouraging the transition to EVs and the promotion of zero carbon travel.

Pod Point’s products range from domestic chargepoints to rapid chargers, while its team provides a range of services from initial consultation through to installation.

Erik Fairbairn, CEO of Pod Point, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Jaguar Land Rover, particularly following the launch of the I-Pace, which was a very exciting moment for our industry. Likewise, working with high profile brands like Land Rover as they launch their first plug-in models is another landmark achievement for Pod Point.”
