THE Porsche Panamera range grows literally with this week’s launch of new long-wheelbase super luxury Executive models as well as potent new powertrains for the four-door four-seat Gran Turismo family.

The all-new second generation Panamera was introduced in the summer of 2016 with the four all-wheel drive models – Panamera 4S, Panamera 4S Diesel, Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and Panamera Turbo – already on sale.

But now the range grows to ten models with the new Executive models and new 3.0-litre 330hp V6 version as launched at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Prices range from £66,400 for the entry Panamera V6 with rear-wheel drive to £122,500 for the all-wheel drive 550hp Panamera Turbo Executive flagship.

The Executive models, with their 150mm (six inches) longer wheelbase, expand the body and equipment portfolio at the top to appeal to customers who demand even greater comfort for the rear passengers.

Rammed with features such as panoramic roof, heated seats with multi-way adjustment in the rear as well as the front, plus adaptive air suspension with an electronically-controlled damper system, the Executive models are designed to appeal to customers who demand comfort for everyday and company car driving.

Innovative attributes of the Executives include 10.1-inch displays integrated in the front seat backrests so that the rear of the car can be transformed into a digitalised workplace – or the high-quality displays can also be used as tablets outside the vehicle.

Options include a new large rear centre console that can be equipped with two integrated folding tables and an inductive antenna connection for an additional smartphone.

With the new V6, power is up by 20hp from the older generation and the fuel efficiency with the eight-speed PDK double-clutch transmission as standard is up by 13% for economy  between 35.8 – 37.7mpg.
