Well it’s a bit pricey of course, but its undoubted desirability and that 25% tax rate make it quite a prospect for the next company car

Business Car Manager car review verdict

Did we ever think we’d be talking about a Range Rover with a company car tax band of 25%? Probably not.

But that’s exactly what the Range Rover Hybrid offers – the chance for small business owners and SME directors to run a Range Rover on the business without a crushing tax bill.

There is a downside, though.

At a likely £100,000 price tag for the Range Rover Hybrid, is has a whopping £30K premium over the entry-level Range Rover Vogue V6 – and still some £13K more than the most expensive V6 model.

Which means many of the perceived company car tax benefit in kind benefits will be nullified by the higher P11D price.

Will it matter? Possibly not. The Range Rover Hybrid is a more refined proposition with improved running costs thanks to its better fuel economy. This, along with that low company car tax banding, are probably enough to clinch the deal.

What’s clear, is that the desirability of the Range Rover remains – and with the Hybrid there is now greater choice. And there’s a Range Rover with a plausible company car tax banding.

Better join the queue then…
