SsangYong enters the van sector – at the double

Rural van users looking for a rugged SUV-based light commercial have not one but two new options, thanks to Korean manufacturer SsangYong.

SsangYong Kyron: along with Rexton, good value

New SsangYong Kyron and Rexton commercials launched

SsangYong has launched LCV versions of both its off-road models.

The SsangYong Kyron C-S and Rexton C-S are based on the Kyron and Rexton S SUVs. Both are solid 4x4s with body-on-chassis construction.

The vehicles have been converted to LCV spec in the UK. The rear seats have been removed to provide a flat load area, and the rear windows have been black-tinted. The rear doors are retained, giving good rear loadspace access.

And pricing is aggressive. Kyron C-S costs £13,995 and the Rexton C-S £15,995. Later, a two-wheel drive Kyron C-S will be available at only £11,999.

The Kyron C-S has a payload of 530kg and a cargo volume of 2.38cu m. It
