SUMMER holidays are beckoning and the Audi TT is proving the hot-spot to head for as the fastest selling car on the used forecourt.

That’s the finding of Glass’s monthly Hot Five sellers for March.

Other sporty options selling well are the second-placed Citroen DS3 Cabrio and the value-for-money Hyundai Coupe alongside two large 4x4s – the Nissan Pathfinder and Mercedes ML.

Among the slowest sellers is Vauxhall’s Cascada, which remains rooted to the number one spot, trailed by the Renault Scenic and Mitsubishi Mirage.

Rupert Pontin, Glass’s head of valuations, said: “The TT has long since become an iconic car for UK buyers and there is an ongoing love affair with the model that cuts across ages and gender. While it is yet to be seen in the used sector, the arrival of the third generation model is sparking interest in older examples, too.
