The Honda Civic Tourer – estate to you and me – will use the same cracking new 1.6 diesel already found in the Civic Hatch and the new CR-V

HONDA has announced the on-the-road prices for its new Honda Civic Tourer.

The range starts at £20,265 for the entry-level petrol engined 1.8 i-VTEC S model. The cheapest diesel, at £21,375, is the 99g/km 74.3mpg 1.6 i-DTEC S which uses the impressive new down-sized engine already seen in the Civic Hatch and the latest CR-V.

All Honda CivicTourers, including the S models, have Bluetooth, DAB radio and 16-inch alloys.

Next up, the SE Plus, gets rear parking sensors and 17-inch wheels, while the SR adds an Adaptive Damper System (ADS) for the rear wheels – a first in this class – as well as heated front seats, sat nav and privacy glass.

The top-of-the-range EX has headlamp washers, interior blue ambient lighting and Bi-HID headlights with auto levelling.

The 142PS 1.8 i-VTEC petrol engine is being offered with a choice of manual and automatic gearboxes, and delivers a combined  45.56mpg and CO2 emissions of 149g/km. The 1.6 i-DTEC diesel produces 120PS, good enough for a 0-60 time of 10.1 seconds.
