Think next TT…

Audi allroad shooting brake concept

This is a bit of a strange one because although it looks like a high-riding hatchback, the allroad shooting brake concept is actually a preview of the next TT.

You can see it in the bold crease down the flanks and the aggressive front-end design. The interior will be almost completely carried over to the TT, too, including a full TFT dial display, which replaces the traditional central screen.

Toyota FT-1

It’s really not very often that we see surprises at the major motor shows but the FT-1 caught everyone off guard.

For the moment, Toyota is saying it’s just a concept, and one that was designed to be driven in the racing game, Gran Turismo 6. Toyota has been planning sports cars to sit above and below the GT86 in its range, though, so we could be looking at a new Supra here.

Could this be an early warning sign for a new Supra?

Kia GT4 Stinger

Kia has held off doing a sports car because it didn’t believe it had enough credibility to begin doing performance cars.

But that time is obviously getting closer as the Korean firm revealed the GT4 Stinger concept – a rear-wheel-drive coupe. Some of the outlandish styling will be toned down but we expect the 2.0-litre turbo engine and rear-wheel-drive layout to be used on a production car in the next couple of years.

Still a concept, but perhaps a sign that Kia is contemplating a sports car
