0-62mph in under 4 seconds is always an eyebrow raiser

Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe

Designed as a replacement for the CL63 AMG, the S63 AMG Coupé is an absolute stunner.

It’s got plenty of power to back up its looks, too, thanks to a 577bhp 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8. Go for four-wheel drive and the S63 AMG can hit 62mph in just 3.9 seconds – that’s quicker than almost any 911 you can buy.

It should handle nicely, too, as it comes fitted with a ‘curve tilting function’, which Mercedes says works in the manner that a motorcyclist would lean in to a bend.

MINI Countryman facelift

Yes, this one is a bit of a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it job but the Countryman is a very important car for MINI and some of these changes are important.

All the engines, for instance, are now Euro 6 compliant, while the Cooper S model has seen emissions cut and fuel economy improved.

There are four new colours – including a camo-style Jungle Green – and the models fitted with four-wheel drive now come with metal scuff plates for a slightly more rugged look.

Yes it’s a facelift, but it comes with new engines so it’s a significant move for the MINI
