Toyota HiAce road test report

Toyoto HiAce

Toyota HiAce GS 300 2.5D-4D 120

What is it?

Long-running Japanese Transit competitor. Recently received an update.

What’s hot?

  • Toyota build quality is legendary – so reliability is high
  • Residual values are strong thanks to the Toyota brand
  • Excellent 2.5-litre common-rail diesel engines
  • Performance and refinement levels are high
  • Long load bay is useful for transporting bulky loads
  • Standard ABS

What’s not?

  • Dull, Japanese styling is looking very dated
  • Interior is well-made but old-fashioned and lacking in detail
  • Options are few: two wheelbases but there
