DORSET-based Trakm8 Group has acquired Roadsense Technology, a supplier of fleet telematics and safety products with customers of a single vehicle fleet to those with over 1,500 vehicles.

Trakm8 said it recognised the extensive experience of Roadsense in the SME sector and has acquired the business and its personnel in order to consolidate and grow its share of the SME market.Roadsense logo

The acquisition, which took place on 01 August, further strengthens the Group’s offering alongside the recent acquisitions of the trade and assets of DCS Systems, which includes the RoadHawk camera brand, and the route optimisation and scheduling experts, Route Monkey.

Roadsense’s largest customer is Iceland Foods where Route Monkey is the incumbent route optimisation and scheduling supplier.

Trakm8 said the acquisition would allow Roadsense to provide an even wider range of telematic and camera systems to its customers and provide the financial stability and support to ensure that Roadsense can continue to provide quality products and outstanding customer service to its current and future customers.
