JUST  a week and it’ll be Hallowe’en, but never mind the witching hour, Friday’s the deadline for entries for the SME Car of the Year Awards 2016 for the judges to see WHICH is best!

Spooky or what?! No tricks but the winners will be in for a treat – but first they’ve got to enter!

Who can topple BMW and take a slice of the action as Business Car Manager‘s SME Company Car of the Year champions? The search is on for our 2016 winners!

In the Business Car Manager SME Company Car of the Year Awards 2016, supported by Fleet Alliance, an award-winning supplier of company car leasing to SMEs, we need to find the best cars in the sector, and the best company car programmes available for the SME business sector.

Last year’s overall winner was the BMW 520d SE auto, succeeding the Vauxhall Insignia in 2014, as BMW excelled with the Car of the Year also judged Best Director’s Car, the BMW i3 the Best Green Company Car, and BMW Group Business Partnership Programme the Best Company Car Programme.

Other manufacturers to shine were SEAT with the SEAT Leon Best Compact car, Mazda with Mazda6 Best Large car, and Hyundai for the Best After Sales programme.

And this year there’s a new category, for the Best Value  SME Company Car.

It’s a time for manufacturers to be proud of their products – and tell us why!

The awards will be judged independently by a panel of experts in the SME automotive sector led by chair Paul Hollick, chairman of the Institute of Car Fleet Management and commercial director of The Miles Consultancy.

Business Car Manager editorial director Ralph Morton explains: “It’s critical that small businesses and SME firms running company cars get the expert help that they require.

“Our awards will highlight the best cars in sector and the best company car programmes and support programmes that will make the life of an SME director, charged with looking after the company car programme, so much easier.”

The SME Company Car of the Year Awards 2016 features seven categories:

  • Best Value SME Company Car
  • Best Compact SME Company Car
  • Best Large SME Company Car
  • Best Director’s SME Company Car
  • Best Green SME Company Car
  • Best SME Company Car Programme
  • Best SME After Sales Programme

From the category winners the judges will nominate their car of the year.

Entry to the Fleet Alliance supported awards is open to car manufacturers and is online only. Car manufacturers can nominate the car or cars that they think are best in sector for the category.
