Fleet Alliance MD Martin Brown: “The Institute rates a great workplace as one where employees trust the people they work for, have pride in the work they do, and enjoy the people they work with. So it is extremely gratifying to come first in our designated category”

IF you want to find the best place to work in Scotland – head for business car leasing provider and partner of this website, Fleet Alliance.

It’s official, too.

Fleet Alliance was voted Best Company to Work For in the independent Great Place to Work Institute survey for companies up to 49 employees.

The institute surveyed 35 Fleet Alliance staff in confidential and anonymous interviews asking questions based on a Trust Index – which covered areas such as the standard and quality of their workplace.

What came out of it was that Fleet Alliance managers avoided favouritism, while staff were offered unique benefits as part of their work package.

Other highlights included the ability of management to respond and act upon staff suggestions and the importance placed on a good work/life balance.

Given some of the images on the Fleet Alliance Facebook page, the staff clearly have a lot of fun at work as well as giving a lot of time to charity, but also deliver a highly professional service to clients.

It’s a great tribute to MD Martin Brown and his team. And it’s an employment template other SME businesses should follow.

Martin is hoping Fleet Alliance can score a double, though, by winning Employer of the Year in the Scottish Business Awards – good luck!
