Low down on Jaguar XF ownership costs

  • All-new Jaguar XF to offer strongest residual values of any premium executive saloon;
  • XF will also have lower insurance group rating than key German rivals;
  • Low running costs helped by competitive service plans;
  • Lowest total cost of ownership of any premium executive saloon;
  • Available to order now, new XF arrives in UK retailers during August priced from £32,300.

BETTER residual values (RVs), lower insurance and kinder BIK ratings of any competitors executive saloon are being claimed by Jaguar for the all-new XF to target company car user-choosers.

Industry valuation company Kwik Car predicts the all-new XF will hold on to 41% of its value over three years and 60,000 miles. That’s 4% up on the Mercedes E-Class and 6% better than Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series.

What’s more, the new XF will offer insurance ratings starting from Group 25E, some five groups better than the equivalent BMW 5 Series, seven better than the Audi A6 and eight better than the Mercedes E-Class.

At the same time the BIK company car tax band rating for the Jaguar XF 2.0d 163PS Prestige manual is just 18% compared to its nearest rivals the Audi A6 2.0TDI ultra 190PS SE manual and the BMW 2.0d 190PS SE manual both at 20%.

The Jaguar XF cost of ownership proposition will be further strengthened by a range of competitive service plans, says Jaguar. Business car managers opting for the 2.0-litre diesel Ingenium engine, in either 163PS or 180PS versions, will be able to choose between a Standard Mileage and High Mileage package.

The Standard Mileage Plan

This costs £525 and covers the car for up to five years or 50,000 miles. It includes two services, following the standard two year/21,000 mile servicing intervals, one brake fluid change and unlimited AdBlue top-ups over the lifetime of the plan. It also includes MOT Protect – an MOT Test warranty that covers your vehicle for up to £750 (inc VAT) for repairs.

The High Mileage Plan

This covers customers for five years or 75,000 miles and costs £675. It includes up to three services, as well as a brake fluid change, unlimited AdBlue top-ups over the duration of the plan and MOT Protect.
