THE advent of destination charging means that for those small business owners and SME directors who have taken advantage of buying a Tesla on their business, there’s even more reasons to be grateful.

UK or continental travel won’t leave you stranded.

The benefits of a Tesla on your business

  • Example: Tesla Model S 60 kWh Dual Motor AWD Auto
  • If you buy, the car is subject to 100% first year allowance, accelerating cashflow
  • 9% company car tax banding for 2017/18
  • Company car tax payable @ 20% = £1,006
  • Company car tax payable @ 40% = £2,011
  • 0-62 in 5.2 secs

Tesla says that in under 12 months it has opened more than 1,000 Destination Chargers since it first launched its Destination Charging programme in Europe, including the UK.

This is a programme where all customers have access to a Tesla wall connector when they are away from home.

While the most convenient way to recharge Tesla vehicles is at home or at work, Tesla has created a worldwide network to eliminate range anxiety.

For long distance travel, customers can utilise Supercharger stations, the world’s fastest charging solution, to recharge Tesla vehicles in minutes rather than hours, while they stop for a bite to eat or grab coffee. Tesla currently has over 270 Supercharger stations with 1,800 individual Superchargers across Europe, covering all major motorway routes.

With the Destination Charging programme, Tesla has further enhanced the charging experience by teaming up with hotels, resorts and restaurants around the world. Destination Chargers add up to 60 miles of range per hour, enough time for owners to ski or shop while their vehicles recharge.

In the UK, more than 100 destination chargers can be found from Inverness to St Ives at shopping centres, resorts, marinas, the opera and a popular theme park.

Tesla says the European network will continue grow at an exponential rate in the coming months, adding hundreds of charging sites throughout Europe.
